So I accidentally deleted the joomla folder. But the database its still there untouched..Is it posible that I re-install joomla and connect it with the old database and have all my articles and files back as it was?

Try it. Create a new installation and then point to the old DB in the global configuration. There is really only one problem. You will have to install all of extensions that might have been installed before the files were deleted. However, I think worse case scenario is that you have orphaned tables if you do not install the extensions. If you didn’t have any added extensions; components, modules & plugins and you install the same version of Joomla!, you shouldn’t have a problem.
Is there no local copy of the files to upload?
There is one other way if all else fails. Install a new Joomla! instance and then export you articles from PHPMyAdmin. Then import the articles into the new MySQL DB.
